From all points of view, the young Théodore had a front row seat in the creation of The Soldier's Tale. The play had its origins in the friendship that united C. F. Ramuz and Igor Stravinsky in the war years. Théodore attended the premiere of this unique composition and theatre piece at the Théâtre Municipal in Lausanne, on 29th September 1918. The show was scheduled to travel but, due to an outbreak of Spanish ‘flu, further performances were cancelled. Philippe Kaenel
